LOCATION
Cedar Banks serves as an excellent gateway to it all while offering complete privacy and seclusion, becoming a sanctuary to retreat to. Nestled just off the beaten path of the Sunshine Coast hinterland’s tourist trail, Cedar Banks enjoys a strategic location, perfectly situated between Eumundi and Kenilworth. Both towns are easily accessible within a short 15-minute drive.
Additionally, we are a brief 30-minute journey from the vibrant hub of the Sunshine Coast, a mere 45 minutes away from Noosa, and just 45 minutes from the Sunshine Coast Airport. For those coming from Brisbane, Cedar Banks is approximately a 1.5-hour drive, and from Gympie City, it’s a convenient 30-minute ride. This central location provides both tranquillity and convenience for our guests.

On the road keep an eye out for little farm stalls to fill your basket with relishes, jams, honeys and even plants. We are so lucky to have Mrs Browns Diner just down the way with the most amazing gourmet pizza and burgers. You won’t find a better cheeseburger anywhere!
KENILWORTH
Head straight to the famous doughnuts at the Kenilworth Bakery, after a sugar-high discover the regions many water holes and creeks
Choose from Charlie Morlan, the Little Yabba Creek day area, and the Obi Obi Creek crossing.
Before leaving town stock up on delicious award-winning cheese and other goodies at Kenilworth Dairies perfect for enjoying a platter back at camp. Take a Saturday stroll through the Markets for little treasures, arts and all sorts of nick-nacks.
EUMUNDI
Explore the famous Eumundi Markets, renowned for their eclectic stalls showcasing local art, crafts, and delicious treats. Beyond the markets, this charming town hosts a myriad of boutique stores and events, including live music, community events and open galleries. Something is always happening at the historic Imperial Hotel in Eumundi, a charming pub with a stylish bar, beer garden, and renowned restaurant.
Pottery for the Planet is a must-visit destination in Eumundi for eco-conscious enthusiasts. This unique pottery studio creates beautiful, handmade reusable coffee cups, containers and homewares promoting environmental awareness and reducing single-use waste. A perfect spot to find gifts or souvenirs that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly.
YANDINA
Immerse yourself in a treasure trove of local produce, plants, arts, and crafts at the Yandina Farmers Market. For a taste of authentic Thai cuisine, make your way to the renowned Spirit House, an award-winning restaurant set amidst tropical gardens but be sure to make a booking in advance!
For the best coffee in town head to Lawn Espresso, their brew is unbeatable.
For a family outing head to The Ginger Factory. Explore ginger production, hop on the Ginger Train, enjoy ginger-infused treats, and let the kids play in the outdoor playground, jumping castle and boat ride!
NOOSA
Spend the day exploring the breathtaking coastal walks and abundant nature of Noosa National Park. Relax on the beaches or thrill seekers can hire a surfboard and catch the waves.
Our Favourite thing is the option to BYO cheese platter and wine on the Noosa River Ferry and sit on the sundeck at sunset – it’s pure bliss! And hey, don’t miss out on Clo Studios, a modern and on-trend design and homewares shop (with coffee!)
ADVENTURE
Venture onto the 4WD trail of East Cedar Creek Road, linking Cedar Banks to the Mapleton National Park and all the walking, bike and horse trails within. Chase waterfalls, rest by rock pools, and enjoy the vast views and gorges – There are so many trails to choose from. As you explore the trails enjoy the diversity of fauna and flora from subtropical rainforest to open eucalypt. The trails also vary from gentle walking, downhill riding and dirt bike tracks giving you options for whatever adventure you seek.
