THE NITTY GRITTY
Cedar Banks Property Terms & Conditions
We’re delighted to embark on this exciting journey with you at Cedar Banks. Below, you’ll find a simplified guide to our terms. Comprehensive and official Terms and Conditions will be provided when you express your interest in hosting an event at Cedar Banks.
Single Day Hire:
All personal equipment and effects must be removed from the property by 10 AM the day following the event. You may be given the courtesy of setting up at Cedar Banks the day beforehand; however, this is not guaranteed unless you have booked a two-day hire. Otherwise, you will be able to access Cedar Banks to set up for your event from 7 AM on the morning of your event for full day hire.
Two Day Hire:
All personal equipment and effects must be removed before the end of the hire term.
Confetti Usage:
You are welcome to use confetti on the property; however, all confetti must be approved by the property owners to ensure it is organic and quickly biodegradable, ensuring the cows and following events are not affected. Please email us with the confetti you would like to use prior to purchase.
Sparklers:
Sparklers are prohibited on the property due to the wire litter causing health issues for the cows and mower. If this is something you would really like, please talk to us, as we may exempt this for a small number of people.
Camping During the Event:
Camping during the event is available for a maximum of 50 guests, depending on guest count and mode of camping (i.e., caravans and tents). An arrival window of one hour may be set for campers, during which the property manager will direct them to their designated sites.
Safety is Key:
As the captain of your event, you’re responsible for everyone on board, including your guests, vendors, and anyone present. So, please ensure everyone’s safety and accept responsibility for any incidents during the event.
Area Access and Usage:
Your domain encompasses our campground Cedar Flats, the picturesque ceremony spots The Banks and The Paddock, and the splendid reception site Cedar Hill. Please refrain from entering the owner’s personal spaces, marked by fences. While you’re here to create memories, our other areas are off-limits unless specifically permitted.
Host Duties:
You are the host, so ensure your guests’ comfort by providing necessary amenities like toilets, sustenance, and water. To accommodate your guests adequately, proof of arrangements must be submitted eight weeks before the event, and any additional facilities required will be at your expense.
Sound and Silence:
Amplified music is permissible until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and until 9 PM from Sunday to Thursday. Cedar Banks has a noise curfew from 10 PM to 7 AM. Be considerate of our neighbours and keep noise levels at a minimum during the early hours of the morning.
Time and Care:
Stick to the scheduled hours, and remember that the property should be left as you found it. Arrangements for additional access must be agreed upon while camping guests adhere to the allocated times.
Your Property, Your Care:
Safeguard your belongings, equipment, and effects, as we can’t be held liable for any losses. Understand that unexpected weather or natural events aren’t within our control.
Private Gathering:
Only those invited by you are permitted on the premises. To ensure security, you may opt for additional security arrangements at your expense. Such arrangements should be confirmed in writing eight weeks before the event.
Guest Conduct:
We reserve the right to remove any individual whose behaviour endangers others or the event’s harmony. Compliance with laws and regulations is expected from your guests.
The Art of Fire:
Should you choose to light fires, follow local regulations diligently and only use fire pits provided. For events with hired marquees, you may be required to have a fire warden, who will be the only one allowed to add firewood to the fire. The property owner may offer this service, which may incur an additional cost. Fire safety is of utmost importance.
Weather’s Whims:
Make provisions to ensure your guests’ comfort and safety. Weather can be unpredictable, so prepare for sunshine, wind, or showers. Be ready to pamper your guests with suitable arrangements, ensuring their comfort and smiles, rain or shine.
Secure your Peace:
Event insurance that covers potential damages or injuries is necessary.
Damage Deposit:
A damage deposit of $1000 is required six weeks before the event. It will be refunded, less any deductions for damages, cleaning, or incurred expenses, within fourteen days after the event.
Venue Hire Payments:
Pay 20% of the total amount upfront to secure your dates. The remaining balance must be paid four weeks prior to the event date.
